2014 Summer Service Club Program

Take a journey in volunteering this summer…

Volunteer Houston invites students ages 13-18 to join the Summer Service Club and complete community service projects at numerous Houston area nonprofit agencies from June to August. Youth – friendly projects ranging in focus from volunteering with animals to making lunches for youth are supervised on site by Volunteer Houston staff in partnership with each nonprofit agency. Students work as a team to complete service projects in half a day or less allowing students to explore how their efforts strengthen and support the community. Students will have the opportunity to volunteer with Target Hunger, Project C.U.R.E., Vita Living, Wildlife Center of Texas, and many more nonprofit agencies impacting the Greater Houston community. Additionally, students in the Summer Service Club will have the opportunity to select, plan and implement their own service project as a group. There will be approximately 2 to 3 projects offered per week at various times, days, and locations (transportation is not provided).
