Volunteer Houston Hands On Project Leader Description

 

 

Job Title: Project Leader

 

Duties & Responsibilities: The project leaders assists in the development and management of the projects, from agency contact and volunteer sign-ups and follow-up at the end of the projects.  Project Leaders ensure that every volunteer has a positive experience and that the real needs of the agencies are being met.  Project Leaders are expected to:

 

·        Lead a minimum of four (4) projects per year or serve as a Project Leader on a recurring project for at least three (3) consecutive months and coordinate duties with the Volunteer Houston Hands On program staff.

·        Communicate with both volunteers and the agency contact before and after each project

·        Manage signing and collection of Volunteer Houston Hands On project waivers by deadline if necessary.

·        Knowledgeable of different volunteer opportunities offered by Volunteer Houston and communicate these to volunteers.

 

    Qualifications & Requirements:

 

          1. Project Leaders are committed to our mission and agree to be ambassadors for

                  Volunteer Houston Hands On program.

          2. Project Leaders are resourceful and have a positive attitude.

          3. Project Leaders have the ability to go online (internet) to review sign ups.

 

Training: All new Project Leaders must attend a hour and half training session sponsored by Volunteer Houston.  Some projects may require additional training.
