2013 Networking WorkshopsThe Wisdom To Go With The Passion
These workshops provide an opportunity for agencies and their staff to learn new skills, grow their volunteer outreach programs, share ideas and how to implement effective volunteer managment. They also provide volunteer coordinators an opportunity to network and and collaborate on ideas.
To register for a specific workshop: You may go to the Volunteer Houston website and click on the "Donation" button at the top of screen. Type in your payment information and in the "NOTE" section, type in your name, agency and the month or workshop you are registering and making payment for. You may register more than one staff member at a time. We encourage you to bring business cards to share with other agencies. These workshops are perfect for Volunteer Coordinators and those staff members that are new to the nonprofit management role. What Volunteer Coordinators can do to start the "dating process" in order to build long lasting relationships with volunteers. Some of the topics we will cover will include:

We have an amazing opportunity to educate, train and mentor a generation of future leaders about important causes that affect the world they live in. So often youth are never given the chance to experience what it is like to give back, make a difference and touch the lives of others. By offering volunteer service projects and opportunities, you are providing the chance to make a lasting impression on what could be the future leader of your organiztion.
