1) Vista Intermediary Program (VIP) –VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is a professional volunteer service program, through which members serve with organizations full-time for one year. VISTA projects focus on building permanent capacity and infrastructure to help more effectively bring individuals and communities out of poverty.

2) Service Enterprise Certification – a 2 year certificationthat teaches nonprofits how to leverage volunteers and their skills across all levels of the organization to successfully deliver on its social mission.

3) Summer Internship Program – Agencies apply toparticipate in the program and give a grant of $2,500 to hire a collegeintern for 8 weeks in the summer months.

4) Volunteer Background Checks – an online volunteer screening processperformed byVerified Volunteers. Depending on the level of screening, results are available in as little as 24 hours or less..

5) Greater Houston Service Awards – the Greater Houston Service Awards annual spring luncheon celebrates the power of volunteers to spark change and recognized their good work to improve the Houston area through community service.Nonprofits nominate outstanding volunteers in various categorieswho inspire change through voluntary action and service.
